Henry Abbey is an IT professional with over a decade of experience in international education. He specializes in Educational Databases & Systems Management and he has expertise in data analytics and visualizations. Throughout his career, Henry has served on a number of Technology committees as well as implemented and integrated many systems, policies and procedures with grace. As such, he has earned the nickname “Tech Whisperer” amongst his professional circles. Indeed, his services are often sought after by both current and former colleagues and parents at international schools. He is ever-ready to consult, brainstorm, and to assist with technological needs from the most petite to the profoundly complex. A lifelong learner, eager for the newest trends in educational technology, Henry is in the process of pursuing an advanced degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Adding on to his first degree in Computer Science, Henry is undertaking double Masters in Analytics and Computer Science with a specialization in Interactive Intelligence. Henry has worked in two countries and on two continents; as a Database and Systems manager at Lincoln Community School in Ghana and Associate Director of Data at Atlanta International School in the USA. He is enthusiastic about beginning his directorship in a third country and third continent, at St. Paul American School, Hanoi. An amateur guitarist and football enthusiast, Henry can be found supporting Chelsea fc, Atlanta United, and Liberty professionals of Ghana when not behind a screen. Above all, Henry is a proud husband and dedicated father to three young girls. He is excited about the prospect of his children growing and eventually joining him in working on a variety of Technology projects, including coding, robotics and more. Henry is deeply committed to his work, dedicated to cyber-security, and enhancing the user experience. He strongly believes that technology plays a fundamental role in modern education, and he is most at peace when he can be of help to others.
